Academic Reading:
So you are in college – of course you can read. But did you know there is an actual science to reading a textbook? You don’t just open to the first page and begin reading. It’s like taking a road trip to Chicago… would you just jump behind the wheel and head north? Of course not. You would need a road map or a GPS to help steer you in the right direction and that is exactly how you should approach reading a textbook.
At CARAWC we show you the shortcuts and get you on the right path. Here is what you will learn:
- The proper approach to textbook reading
- How to properly annotate your text
- Techniques to increase your reading speed and comprehension
- Various studying methods to prepare for exams
- Techniques for increasing your vocabulary
- Approach to reading literature
- And so much more
